There is never a dull moment and each day brings a chance to watch students grow and develop into productive citizens who contribute to society in a major way.  Being on the counseling staff, affords me that one-on-one time with students, where I get to know their dreams, fears, successes, and challenges to reaching their academic and professional goals.
To make it at CCC, you have to have the ability to see your future! A student at CCC cannot be content with being short-sighted.  They have to be able to see how the decisions they make impact their future and the goals that they set for themselves whether that be academically, professionally, and/or socially.  Successful students recognize that they have to be visionaries!  They MUST dream big and seek the guidance through the staff and their other support systems to get there!  It’s an honor to be able to sit back and watch that process.
