     Duane McGowan is the Construction Careers Instructor for the Freshman class and has been with the school since 2002.

     Mr. McGowan received his Building Service Mechanics Certification in 1999 and worked as a Journeyman Iron Worker for Local 396.  Duane specialized in Structural Steel Erection, including Modular Conveyors, Towers, Various Types Structural buildings, Reinforcing Steel work, Welding, Rigging, etc.  Projects Mr. McGowan has contributed to include Chrysler Plant Additions, Ford and General Motors, Proctor and Gamble Addition, the Daniel Boone Bridge, Barnes Jewish Hospital expansion, and others.

     In his spare time Duane also contributes to the Construction Careers Center by Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining the telecommunications equipment. He also provides reports, completes requests for new service, determines the best methodology for installing telephone service, determines appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, call switches, test trunks, test links and installs communication circuits for the Charter School.  Mr. McGowan holds Computer Certification in Dos, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and DSL-troubleshooting to name a few.

     Mr. McGowan's hobbies include different construction projects, reading, travel, and bikes.
