Jed
Shields came to St. Louis to study at Washington University as an under-
graduate. After completing his
degree with majors in Biology and Spanish he
decided to follow in the footsteps of his mother, a career educator, and
begin working on his teaching certificate.
While doing so, he taught middle school science at Pruitt Military
Academy in the St.
Louis Public Schools.
After becoming
certified in high school biology and also middle school teaching and
learning, he continued his employment with the city schools.
This year, Jed has made the “leap” across
town and to high school where he can focus his teaching on more biological
and environmental processes.
Jed is a Colorado native and
enjoys hiking and camping in Missouri’s beautiful outdoors. Stop by his room and say “hi”, he is looking forward to
meeting all his students parents.
