Ms. Tolman is a St. Louisan, born and raised.  She graduated from Pattonville High School and continued her education at Central Methodist College and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology & Chemistry from Drury University in Springfield , Missouri .  Ms. Tolman obtained a job at St. Louis University where she did medical research in the Departments of Surgery, Pathology, Pediatrics, & Trauma Surgery.  During her 20 years at SLU, she volunteered at Holman Junior High/Middle School.  She founded and directed the mime troupe,  Tolman’s Holman Troupers for 18 years.  She also directed six full-scale Broadway musicals with the students.  To satisfy her thirst for knowledge, she picked up a major in Psychology from SLU and received her teaching certification through Harris-Stowe.

Ms. Tolman loves cats, camping, quilting, sewing, reading, & swimming.  Although the only thing she has time for these days is her new cat.  The kitten was stuck in her bushes by someone at the age of 5 weeks, and Ms. Tolman adopted her.  The kitten is now 8 weeks old and driving her crazy.  Ms. Tolman says she can’t wait until she [the kitten] is old enough to listen & mind.
