Gregory A. Wilson, Sr.
Vice Principal of Student
Services
Mr. Wilson has been the Guidance
Counselor at the Construction
Careers Center
since the school’s inception in 2001.
Beginning the 2007-2008 school year Mr. Wilson accepted the position
of Vice Principal of Student Services.
He began his formal education
at Central Texas
College, Kleene, Texas,
where he received an Associate degree in General Education. Continuing his education at Lindenwood University,
St. Charles, Missouri, he earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Religion and a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. Currently Mr. Wilson is pursuing a
Doctorate of Education degree with emphasis in School Administration. He is enthusiastic and prepared to
contribute his knowledge to the Construction
Careers Center
Charter High
School program and curriculum, maximizing the
student learning experience.
He has channeled life
experience into a focused purpose driven application of counseling,
mentoring, and teaching. His
philosophy of finding good qualities in everyone is the key to his success
coupled with his uncompromising view that all students can learn, given a
positive learning atmosphere that welcomes explorations and enhances
student confidence. Mr.
Wilson’s belief is that an educator’s mission is to make school
enjoyable and exciting, when students look forward to attending school,
they will want to LEARN.
Gregory A. Wilson, Sr., a native of Detroit, Michigan,
is married and has two children.
During his off time he is devoted to working in ministry at his
church and loves reading, writing and collecting African American angels,
preachers and Egyptian art.
