Algebra I is the gateway to college preparatory mathematics; Algebra II is its watershed. Algebra I emphasizes variable;
Algebra II emphasizes function. Emphasis on problem solving is stressed through out the course and students will be expected to express mathematical ideas both
orally and in writing. The following topics will be reviewed or introduced: Linear equations and inequalities, Abolute value equations and inequalities, Relations
Functions and Graphs, Rational Expressions, Irrational and Complex numbers, Radical Equations, Quadratic Equations and Functions, Polynomial Functions, Exponential and
Logarithmic Functions, Conics and Trigonometric Functions.
