Applied Communications II

Course#:

Prerequisite: Applied Comm. I

Credit: 1.0 Unit

Students build on skills introduced in Applied Communications I in the sophomore-level course. Focus is placed on longer, more in-depth writing, such as five-paragraph essays with thesis statements and involved examinations of literary elements in texts. Proper punctuation, spelling, and idea development are further reinforced, as well. Students also will continue to apply reading strategies to shorter and longer texts. Major works covered in this course include Monster and Night.
