Construction Careers Center is pleased to announce that the Project Lead The Way Pathway
to Engineering series of courses will be offered to our students beginning with the 2009-2010 school year. PLTW provides
project and problem-based courses that will add more rigor and relevance to our current technical and academic programs. The PLTW
curriculum makes math and science more relevant for students by engaging them in hands-on, real-world projects that help them understand how the skills they
are learning in the classroom can be applied in everyday life. Research shows that schools committed to delivering the types of learning experiences offered
through PLTW will see an increase in student motivation, critical thinking skills, and student achievement. We believe that
PLTW will offer our students an excellent introduction to engineering while serving as a logical next step to providing
our students with the best career and technical education in St. Louis.
